10. Ask for help
Improving accessibility is a collaborative effort across content, design, and code, considerate of audiences, practices, and technology. If you’re unsure of a design or technical consideration that may affect content engagement, ask for help.
For example, a design could help with a question about the readability of text that sits on top of a photo or background colour where it’s essential to ensure enough contrast and large enough text size to ensure legibility.
Or how a chart or graph could be more readable to someone who experiences colour blindness.
On the technical side, understanding if a video player supports descriptive video or how rich transcriptions for video or audio content is supported in the CMS could be answered by a developer.
