Our writing guidelines are a series of writing practices for communicating to diverse customers across marketing, product, and care plan communications.
Topics include:
- Be hopeful in our writing.
- Be universally aspirational when describing goal-setting.
- Define crisis-help services and provide continuous access to the Total Mental Health platform.
- Acknowledge the mental health complexities of clients.
- Use trauma-informed language that helps end mental health stigma
- General guidelines for inclusive content writing
- Show examples of techniques to increase understanding.
- Avoid calling out people’s existing coping behaviours.
- Embrace secular and cultural backgrounds.
- Provide additional resources and give credit so people may learn more independently.
